Irish Food Writers Guild Award

06 July 2011

Now in its 16th Year, the Irish Food Writers Guild Awards recognise only the highest quality produce of Irish origin. Behind these awards are passion, quality, consistency and innovation. Chairperson
Orla Boderick honoured Kettyle Irish Foods with this award for their free range Chickens. She stated that ‘Kettyle Foods was an innovative food company…It is for the excellent eating quality that contributed to the award, the texture and well developed flavour attracts the attention of leading chefs.’

Maurice Kettyle told how the Chickens are free to roam outside, a carefully planned programme enables the chickens to grow slowly and naturally, like all animals, a stress-free end has a beneficial effect on eating quality. Add in our butchery skills, which contain no water, result in a tender, fully flavoured succulent Chicken.
